Thursday Evening Event Announcement

We are very excited to announce that the Thursday evening event will take place at Peterborough’s Market Hall.

“The Power of Our Voices: Building Support for Victims and Survivors of Crime” will take place on Thursday, June 2, 2016 with doors opening at 6:30 pm. This event, generously funded through the Department of Justice Canada as part of Victims and Survivors of Crime Week, will be open to the public. Appetizers and refreshments will be available, as well as a cash bar. Conference attendees will receive free admission, bus transportation from the conference (and back to Gzowski accommodations), and time to enjoy dinner in downtown Peterborough before the event.

The event will welcome:

  • A 4th Line Theatre reading of “Who Killed Snow White,” written by Canadian award-winning playwright Judith Thompson.
  • A panel presentation of survivors and victim services advocates.
  • Kate Lines, retired criminal profiler, Chief Superintendent of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and author of Crime Seen.
